Lily's Story

Lily was saved from slaughter when HiCaliber purchased her from Voldy's Lot on May 6, 2017.

Lily the "black" filly (possibly Morgan cross, Tennesse Walking Horse style head, flat back, some feathering on feet)  is coming along well with her halter training. She's a sweet girl that wants to love and be loved and is showing more interest in being handled and groomed. She is now able to be haltered, and is slowly discovering the joys of being pampered and brushed. She hasn't had much practice being led yet, but she does seem receptive to it.

Lily is getting to be very friendly now, especially when compared to how skittish she was a few months ago. Now when her foster goes in to clean or come up to the fence, Lily greets her and follows her around her enclosure.

This sweet girl still has lots to learn, but Lily looks to be on her way to becoming a model citizen with the right handler.
