Gulliver was saved from slaughter when HiCaliber rescued him from Ontario Auction on July 26, 2016.
He settled in quickly and is a sweet, very well mannered guy. He greets me every time I walk out to the barn with a nicker and a lean in for scratches. Someone has put a lot of time into this boy... he stands wonderfully for fly spray, picks his feet up before I ask and ties like a charm. He has gotten progressively more playful on turn out and hand walking. You can certainly tell he's feeling better as the weight comes back on.
He does have a bit of an odd stutter in his stride on the right front. He isn't lame, and it doesn't affect his ability to move out. It really seems more mechanical. It appears he may have had some kind of an injury at some point that now restricts his ability to completely extend the lower portion of his right leg. That being said, he never stumbles, even while tearing around the arena when turned out and I wouldn't hesitate to jump on him."
