Dallas's Story

Dallas was saved from slaughter when HiCaliber rescued him from the Ontario Auction on July 5 2016

Update (12/13/16):
Um? Did you say dream boy? Dallas is a super smart guy who can do anything from barrels to over fences. He has some quick feet, and he is agile, flexible, and athletic from head to tail. Dallas is still a young wiper snapper and he is very playful, but he knows when it is time to work. Dallas benefits from being ridden in a bit, but doesn’t require more than a very light hand. He needs a confident intermediate to advanced rider to help finish him, but this horse will take you places. Want to get some blue ribbons? Want to get some buckles? Want to have a best buddy to quietly chill with? Dallas is your man.

Word on the street is Dallas was a barrel horse before we rescued him. He's agile, quick on his feet, and has solid movements. He's a bit of a shy soul, but we expect him to open up once he bonds with his own person. Dallas can be a little skittish in the corral and around his head, so his person or rider needs to reassure him and approach with quiet confidence. Calm and quiet reassurance will do wonders for this shy sweetheart.

Dallas wasn't responding well to just the halter on his test ride. We tried him in a bit and it worked out well for him. Dallas would be a great project horse for an intermediate or advanced rider, and someone with a light hand that knows what they're doing with a bit.
