Dakota was saved from slaughter when HiCaliber rescued him from the Ontario Auction on March 15, 2016.
Dakota is a big, gentle, quiet guy who tore a muscle and was dumped at auction. Thanks to you, we rescued him, tended to his ouchies, and gave him 4 months off to heal. He's happy to be back to work and is ready for your kiddos!
Dakota does great with independent or leadline riding, goes bitless, bareback, alone or with other horses, with dogs, traffic, construction, peacocks, turkeys, alpacas, etc. He's an awesome herd horse and is a 'been there done that' kinda guy who loves to work and be in the middle of things. Dakota has great ground manners and will keep your kids safe.
He's only for kids due to mechanical lameness where the muscle tore, but there's no pain. He's fine with walk/trot. He's barefoot, huge, amazing and takes care of the ranch babies... It's time for him to take care of yours!
Dakota is 16, 15.3 and UTD on all. Check out his video on the HiCaliber Kids Page here.
Dakota is another mid teens guy with a peg leg/bad stifle. He's a super sweet guy, the ferals LOVE him and he's got great ground manners. Middle ground rank in the herd. He was purchased at auction as a compassion save but he's been deemed pasture sound and is happy.
