Victoria's Story

Victoria was saved from slaughter when HiCaliber rescued her from the Ontario Auction on January 26, 2016.

Update (03/03/2016)

Victoria is a silly and kind mare with scars to prove her rough riding past. Unfortunately, she is vision impaired with her peripheral and declines a rider. She would be a great companion horse to another equine who wouldn't bully her. She's got great ground manners if she knows you're there via sound/speech. She can step on you/crowd you otherwise and therefore wouldn't be good in a home with kids. Her teeth were recently done as she was having issues gaining weight. We found a needle sharp tooth causing ulceration and it has been repaired. She still needs about 100lbs. She's about 11-12 years old. Sound. Barefoot.

Update (01/28/16):

This beautiful girl is cautious but hopeful. As soon as she knows you're nice she's like a puppy. You look at sweet, sensitive girls like her and it’s so hard to imagine where they’ve come from and the path that landed them at auction. Victoria is about 10-12 years old and has a body score of 3/9. While her teeth had been done recently, she has some issues with her neck and back and shows just a drop of lameness. We will be putting her on the chiropractic list and hoping we can help her find some comfort.
