Sunny's Story

Rescued from Auction as a scrawny, scared and disconnected little mare.

Update (09/26/16):
Here is what Sunny's new trainer said about her:
Ok guys. Sunny needs a home asap or else we are going to have a huge foster fail. Jumped everything with ease. Some of the jumps were pretty good size for her and she cleared them all. Was perfection in an open area. I have very few sensitivity issues with her anymore since she's bonded with me."
Sunny is a sensitive girl who will give her all to her human once she trusts them.

Update (08/17/16):

Sunny was moved to another trainer where she is thriving! This horse is going to make someone very happy. Sensitive and needs someone patient and willing she was tried on dressage the other day and she was really good! Not super sure about the leg and seat pressure but relaxed quickly

Update (6/29/16):

Sunny just keeps on shining! Here is what her trainer Karen McCracken said about her:

"She now has great ground manners, ties and trailers well. Stands quiet while tacking up and mounting. Really moves off your leg and weight. Light in the mouth, still has minor issues with putting headstall over right ear, but really wants to trust. Walk, trot and lope. Good stop, side passes and rides good in the arena or out on trail. She's ready for her own person!"

Update (03/29/2016):

Sunny has been training with the wonderful Karen McCracken and here is what she has to say about her progress:

"I have Sunny, beautiful gray Azteca (certainly looks like it to me) mare. She has now had 60 days of riding. She rides bit less or in smooth snaffle and is very light and responsive. Probably too light for a beginner. She does great in a big arena or outside and moves off of leg pressure, side passes, and opens and closes gates."
